Lymphatic Pressotherapy
Drain the nodes. Detoxify the body. Look & feel better!
The lymphatic system is part of the body's circulatory system, and essential for a healthy immune response. It is made up of lymph glands and vessels, that carry lymph fluid around the body. Lymph fluid houses white blood cells, fats, and bacteria built up from the body's daily functions such as immune responses and digestion.
The circulation of the lymph system relies on muscle movement and gravity. Lymphatic build up may occur due to a high volume of bacteria caught by white blood cells, or fat cells housing toxins in the body. Immobility, muscle tension, and exposure to toxins may be the largest contributing factors to lymph buildup and backup. It may be more prominent in people affected by chronic illness, immobility, or exposure to higher toxic loads.
Lymphatic Pressotherapy is a non-invasive practice involving the application of a series of air compressions and decompressions on the body, to stimulate lymph flow. (The lymph is moved into the blood circulatory system, so that toxins can be filtered out, and excreted through the urinary & excretory systems.)
Lymph drainage helps the body to clear toxins, while increasing blood flow to the extremities. Pressotherapy is an effective alternative to manual lymph drainage massage. For most people, it is relaxing, and has both cosmetic and health benefits.
Lymphatic Pressotherapy sessions are beneficial for those with circulation challenges, facial or respiratory congestion, high toxic load, swollen limbs, cellulite, stretch marks, fluid retention, lymphatic challenges, swollen tonsils or lymph glands, and may contribute to the prevention of varicose veins.
*Pressotherapy is not recommended for clients with pregnancy, blood pressure challenges, asthma, varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), asthma, heart or kidney failure. Please consult a licensed healthcare practitioner before use.
Please wear comfortable clothing for your pressotherapy session. Lie down, allow the practitioner to suit you up, close your eyes, and relax. (It's alright if you take a nap during your session. Someone will wake you when it is over!)
Pressotherapy may result in temporary fatigue, aches, an overall "yucky" feeling, or tonsil stones. These are signs of the body ridding itself of toxins. Please drink lots of water following a session. And be prepared to take 1/2 - 1 day off after a lymphatic pressotherapy session, especially if you've never experienced one before.
[Our pressotherapy device is available for adults only. Our suit does not fit children.]
Self Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Heather Wibbels, LMT explains how to do self manual lymph drainage on your upper body, to relieve upper congestion and sinus pressure. This is a great practice to do after a pressotherapy session, and as regular maintenance. You can use this technique on yourself or a family member, at your own discretion.
